Bright
Brains or Good Looks? We think a mixture of each creates the perfect
balance in life. We also know that you only get one chance to make a
first impression, so we sent our home page for a complete makeover -
because, no matter how good we are on the inside, looks still count and
we will still be judged to some degree on our appearance! So we’ve spent
some worthwhile time on improving our appearance.
As
with all appearances, looking good takes time and effort so we tweaked a
bit and tested a bit and brain-stormed a lot so that we are now able to
reveal to you a significant redesign of the GraphicMail home page
- one of the most visited locations in email marketing. The new home
page zooms-in on email marketing – ( Now, there’s a surprise!
We
sing the praises of targeted marketing; so we thought we should
practice what we preach! We think we’ve achieved that by giving targeted
communication a priority on our home pages (and not just available to
those who receive and read our newsletter or the mobile marketing tools that we offer to you).
So
keep a watchful eye out over the next couple of weeks as there will be
two more versions; one geared towards couch potato email marketing –
“The Quick Start” and one aimed at people interested in our highly
successful Reseller business model.
So, what changes to look out for?
Does
trying to locate logins to those regularly-used sites drive you to
distraction ? Is it top right, or top left? In the side column or right
in front of you – or, as with Yahoo! is like looking for that proverbial
needle in the proverbial haystack. Well not us ! We’ve made the Member Login so super visible that you won’t need any help to find it.
And
have you been frustrated in your attempts to locate some specific
client-study or special feature on GraphicMail before? Well, you’ll be
delighted to hear that it’s now as easy as pie! Just add a keyword to
our new search, click and voila.
Yes,
we admit, previous navigation trips almost needed a Geography
qualification. Not any more - now it’s all smooth sailing. Our new horizontal navigation only has two levels only, so no more email-marketing fatigue – target destination here we come!
We’ve been tweeting our news from the rooftops, we’ve been showing our face in The Book, but now it’s official. We are 100% committed to social network
integrations – we’re tripping the news from our new footer! There will
be lots of email marketing and social media integrations coming your way
this year, so keep an eye on our blog, Twitter and Facebook
announcements.
The
results of our test indicate that people are excited about this new
home page. They feel that it meets their needs and gives a fresh new
look to GraphicMail.

Wondering
why the new home page is dominated by Blues and Reds? Well,
fashionistas advise us that the key social consumer trends for 2010 will
be looking to “reinvent happiness”, “embrace Gaia” and “Age Shock”. The
happiness colour for 2010 is ‘Satisfaction’; a creamy raspberry-red, a
sweet and inviting color that tempts us. Gaia is portrayed through
‘Reflection’, a transparent liquid blue suggestive of water and the way
it reflects the rays of the sun. ‘Jungle Passion’ is a deep, dark red,
exotic and mysterious like a rare orchid or a precious ruby. And ‘Age
Shock’ blue? GRUPs (today’s grownups) are said to defy the aging
process, measuring age solely by attitude towards life. So a fresh,
young blue linked with the jeans culture represents “Jeanology”.
